SADAR Repositorium Genetic Parameters for novel behavioral traits for cows housed under automatic milking systems with a focus on learning (Supplementary Table S1) ------------------------------------------- Dataset Description =================== Data Files ---------- Supplementary Table S1.xlsx Documentation Files ------------------- README_SADAR.txt (this file) Instructions ============ The data file is available as an Excel table (.xlsx). The data depositor has provided the following instructions to facilitate the interpretation of the Information contained in the data file: The file provides the complete results of six linear mixed models fitted to behavioral and time‑related traits (RM = rejected milkings, UST = udder scan time, CT = connecting time) recorded by automatic milking systems (AMS). For each response variable, two model versions were computed: one treating the response as a categorical variable (categorized) and one using its continuous values (original). This dual approach allowed us to assess whether the continuous response—despite its non‑normal distribution—yielded model Outputs comparable in reliability to those based on the categorized response. The reported LS‑means refer to differences across parities (age) and across levels of AMS experience (learning process). Data Curation Procedures ======================== Research data sets acquired for our SADAR Repositorium undergo a review prior to publishing and release. This ensures that data, documentation and metadata are available in the highest standard possible to ensure the data can be reused by others and to ease its archival preservation process. The curation procedures undertaken will depend on the individual nature of each dataset. In general, the following tasks are undertaken: . Data are documentation files sent are checked for consistency and accuracy . Variable and value labels are checked . If necessary, multiple data and documentation formats may be generated for dissemination and preservation purposes . Metadata is generated for the dataset and a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) assigned. . A review for possible data protection, confidentiality issues or legal conflicts is undertaken and if problems are identified these are resolved in consultation with the data depositor. ============ The SADAR Repositorium Team University and State Library of Saxony Anhalt Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg 04.06.2026
