This resource is composed of MS-Excel files containing information for a total of
18 European countries on decision-support in forest-related natural management for the DSS4ES-Projekt.
The data is available as single files for individual countries or as a single zip file
containing all data files.

Instructions
============

If you want to use files for a specific country, choose the corresponding
*.xlsx file and download it. The *.xlsx files can be opened in a program such as
MS-Excel or similar open source software. 

Alternatively, you can download the zip file: "WG 1_Country Reports_ALL_DSS4ES.zip"
which contains ALL the original *xlsx files and a folder 'CSV' where the *.csv created
copies of the original files are found. These *.csv files can be imported and used in other
statistical packages or software. 


Quality Checks
==============

Research data sets published in SADAR undergo
a basic review prior to publishing and release. 
Depending on the individual nature of each dataset
some curation procedures will be conducted.

The following tasks were undertaken:

. This data set has been checked for corrupt or missing files. Files
have been inspected to ensure the data can be opened and that the metadata
descriptions match the name of the files. 


. Metadata was generated for the dataset and
a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) assigned. 

. A review for possible data protection,
confidentiality issues and or legal conflicts was
undertaken in collaboration with the author(s) prior
to the publication of the data.

Data Issues
============

File: "WG 1_Country Report_Sweden_DSS4ES.xlsx"

While exporting this file as a *.csv file, the embedded links found
in the names in column 'Link / Reference to the data'
where pasted next to names to ensure the embedded link information is also available in the CSV
version of the original file.
